Boscastle Gateway Building
The local authority gave notice to the village that they intended to close the only toilet facility in the parish from April 2016. The Company worked with the BCTC and the Parish Council to look at the viability of leasing the building to continue to provision as both agreed that it is important to the village. The CIC formally leased the toilets from Cornwall Council in July 2016 and uses local people to clean, maintain and operate the facility for the benefit of the visitors and residents.
Community Minibus
The Directors of the Company are pleased to announce the imminent arrival of a community minibus which they hope will bring benefit and opportunities to the different groups associated with the village. In addition, the Directors are looking to provide the opportunity to the community who are unable to access services and facilities due to the village being geographically isolated.
The 17-seater minibus will arrive at the start of June 2018 and will be available for immediate use. Drivers aged of 25 to 70, with a B1 car licence of at least two years, will be able to operate the minibus in accordance the terms and conditions of use. The minibus is not for profit – the Company will soon set fares at a level intended to meet the running costs but not to generate a profit.

Boscastle Village Map
Working with the National Trust Boscastle, the Company helped develop a village map for new and returning visitors. Two big maps are hosted on the Boscastle Gateway building and 10,000 paper versions are held at the National Trust Boscastle visitor centre.
